In short: we store what you add to Cellarius so we can show it to you again. We do not sell it, show no ads, and do not track you — neither in the app nor on this page.
Who is responsible
Kristian Wind, Denmark, is the data controller. Write to [email protected] if you have questions.
What we store
- Your account: name, email address, language, and your password — only as a hash we cannot read. If you have passkeys, we store the public part of the key. If you have enabled two-step verification, we store the secret encrypted.
- Your cellar: households, locations, racks, wines, bottles, prices, and what has happened to each bottle — because that is what Cellarius is for.
- When you are signed in: a session cookie and, for each session, which browser and IP address it came from, so you can see and remove your sessions. The session expires after 30 days.
- Server logs: every request is logged with the time, the address asked for and a shortened IP address — the last part removed, so it points to a network, not a home. The log is used for operations and troubleshooting, and is deleted when the server is updated or restarted.
Label images
When you scan a label, the image is sent to the model that reads it and then forgotten. We never store it. The model is Ring, a language model Kristian Wind runs on his own hardware in Denmark: the photo does not leave his servers.
Cookies
Cellarius uses one cookie: the one that keeps you signed in. It is necessary for the service to work and is not used for anything else. This page uses no cookies.
Who else can see your data
People you invite into your household can see the household’s cellar. The server administrator can see who has an account and the names of households — not what is in the cellar. Programs you give a key to (integrations) can read what you have allowed them to. No one else.
Data is stored on a server owned and maintained by Kristian Wind, in Denmark.
Your rights
You can at any time retrieve all your data as one file and delete your account: Settings → Your account. If you delete your account, households that only you are part of are deleted, along with all their content. Households you share with others continue without you. You can also complain to the Data Protection Authority.
